empowering young ladies to reach for the stars !

ShakthiSAT is a STEM program started in India by Dr Srimathy Kesan who was driven by the vision of empowering young girls across the globe through the awe-inspiring world of space exploration. The mission aims to involve 12,000 girls from 108 nations, giving 108 talented students in each country a life-changing opportunity to discover their passion.

Dr. Sandra Mjoll Jonsdottir Buch is Iceland’s Ambassador for the ShakthiSat Mission.

We will be selecting a group of young ladies ages 15-18 to participate in Shakthisat this spring and summer. Of this group one will be selected to travel to India in August to work with hundreds of other young girls to prepare a satellite and it’s payload’s prior to launch.
